Hello. I am Tony.

I live in Melbourne. I am a senior software engineer with more than ten years of experience. Most of my work has been in cloud systems, automation and reliability.

My job, in one sentence, is to remove routine work. In every company I have joined, I found people repeating a task by hand. So I built the thing that does it for them.

• At StreetVoice, a ranking task took five and a half hours. I rebuilt it, and it ran in seven seconds.
• At ThroughTek, a team of ten released their software by hand. I led the move to automated deployment, and each release became six times faster.
• At M800, I rebuilt old telecom services in Go. They used up to one hundred times fewer resources.
• At MaxMine, I moved four core services onto a smaller setup. The cloud bill dropped by four thousand dollars a month.

Numbers are only half of it. The other half is people. At 104, a jobs website in Taiwan, I ran more than ten workshops, so the teams could use the new tools without me. At Ackama I trained seven engineers in Kubernetes. The goal is a team that does not need me.

I am looking for my next senior engineering role in Melbourne. I would like to work somewhere that has a lot of routine work, and wants it gone.
